A/Prof Yeo Khung Keong
Academic Vice Chair, Training & Education; Research EXCO, CVS ACP| Deputy Group Chief Medical Informatics Officer (Research), SingHealth; Senior Consultant, Dept of Cardiology, NHCS

A/Prof Yeo Khung Keong is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. He was previously the Programme Director of the SingHealth Cardiology Senior Residency Programme.               

He is currently the Academic Vice-Chair of Training and Education, and member of the Research EXCO in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Cardiovascular Sciences Academic Clinical Programme. A/Prof Yeo is also the Deputy Group Chief Medical Informatics Officer (Research); and also the Co-Chair of the SingHealth Innovators’ Working Committee.

A/Prof Ong Thun How
Academic Vice Chair, Education, MED ACP | Director of Education, SingHealth Duke-NUS Sleep Centre; Senior Consultant, Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine

A/Prof Ong Thun How is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine. 

She was also the Director, Sleep Disorder Unit (SDU), under her lead the SGH Sleep Disorder Unit was the first adult sleep unit in Singapore to achieve international accreditation by The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.

A/Prof Ong led the unit to a successful re-accreditation and she played a significant role in formalising sleep medicine as part of the residency curriculum.

Some of her teaching awards include: NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Special Recognition Award (2019), Medicine ACP Education Awards: Education Leader (2019) and Dean’s Award, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine for Teaching Excellence (2018).

A/Prof Tan Hak Koon

Chairman & Senior Consultant, Division of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, KKH

A/Prof Tan Hak Koon is the Division Chairman, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, KKH, Chief, Obstetrics and Academic Chair, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Academic Clinical Programme. He was Head of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Singapore General Hospital from 2010 to 2019.

Prior to his appointment as Designated Institutional Official, he was the Associate Designated Institutional (ADIO), SGH for SingHealth Residency from July 2014 to May 2018.

Besides general O&G, he specialises in high-risk pregnancy, maternal fetal medicine and ultrasound scans. He was the President of the College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists Singapore (COGS) from 2013 to 2015, and is currently a member of COGS.

Ms Sabrina Koh
Campus Director, SKH, SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation; Deputy Chair, SingHealth Academy College of Clinical Nursing; Deputy Director, Nursing, SKH

Ms Sabrina Koh is a nurse educator with critical care and medical/surgical clinical nursing experience. As a trained and experienced educator, Sabrina has developed academic modules for diplomas in nursing, advanced diplomas in critical care nursing programmes and numerous clinical specialty-based workshops integrated with simulation as a teaching tool. Sabrina is an active reviewer for clinical sites, formal education programme curricula and operations with the Education Committee, Singapore Nursing Board.

Her current work at SKH includes clinical education training surrounding clinical workflows, patient safety and multi-disciplinary simulation training using TeamSTEPPS as a complimenting tool for team communication. Her work as an advanced simulation educator includes heavy involvements in simulation faculty development programmes for local and regional simulation users, with a special focus on scenario design, facilitation and technical strategies. Since 2004, Sabrina has designed, projected (in budget) and established 1 academic and 3 hospital-based simulation centres in Singapore.

With her involvement as SKH campus director and Chair for Accreditation Committee (SIMS), SIMS achieved full SSH accreditation in May 2019 for Core, Teaching/Education, Assessment, Research and System Integration for 4 SingHealth institutions – Singapore General Hospital (Academia), KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital and Changi General Hospital.

Prof Fernando Bello
Associate Dean, Technology Enhanced Learning and Innovation, Office of Education, Duke-NUS

Prof Fernando Bello is a computer scientist and engineer working at the intersection of medicine, education and technology. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Systems from Imperial College London where he is Professor of Surgical Computing and Simulation Science within the Department of Surgery and Cancer. In August 2019 he joined Duke-NUS Medical School as a Professor and Associate Dean for Technology Enhanced Learning and Innovation within the Office of Education, to develop and implement a school-wide Technology Enhanced Learning strategy that promotes educational excellence, curriculum enhancement and pedagogical innovation.

Prof Bello is particularly interested in the use of virtual / mixed reality environments and haptics in the context of education and training, pioneering advanced patient specific simulation of a number of surgical procedures and clinical examinations, online and mobile simulation tools, as well as innovative approaches to contextualised simulation. He has been involved in several simulation-based training programmes in the UK and abroad and has published widely in technological, as well as medical and educational journals.

A/Prof Chow Wan Cheng

Group Director, Academic Medicine, SingHealth; Senior Associate Dean, Academic Medicine, Duke-NUS

A/Prof Chow Wan Cheng is currently the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Medicine,
Duke-NUS and Group Director of Academic Medicine, SingHealth in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).

She is also a Senior Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Singapore General Hospital.

As a strong advocate of holistic medical education and health equity, Associate Professor Chow Wan Cheng is currently the Education Lead for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI).

A/Prof Nigel Tan
NEUROSC ACP | Deputy Group Director, Education (Undergraduate), SingHealth; Senior Consultant, Dept of Neurology, NNI

A/Prof Tan is currently Deputy Group Director Education (Undergraduate) SingHealth. He graduated with a Masters of Health Professions Education in 2013. His areas of interest in education are in assessment and in clinical reasoning.
