This workshop is designed to assist early career researchers acquire basic knowledge and skills in simulation-based educational research, focusing on the features of educational research project and developing quantitative/qualitative research questions through course didactics and small group discussions. Participants will also learn about resources available through the SESAM-based SiReN research network and other open-access offerings for simulation scholars.
 


Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the workshop, participants will learn to:

  1. Discuss simulation-based educational (SBE) research and develop basic research question
  2. List resources available to novice researchers
  3. Describe the importance of research/scholarship communities of practice – both formal and informal
