Mr Kumbar is a Senior Lecturer with Temasek Polytechnic, School of Engineering. He holds a Master of Technology (Software Engineering) and a Master of Technology (Electronics Design Technology). He is also a member of ISTE India. He specialises in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering and IIOT. He has also published a paper titled “Internet Control for Intelligent Buildings” in an international conference. He has coached many students in competition projects and won numerous awards. Besides teaching students, he has trained adult learners in a specialist diploma course on IIOT from Micron Semiconductor Asia Pte Ltd, Siemens Singapore, Yokogawa Electric Asia Pte Ltd and AIA Singapore. He has also conducted IoT courses for the staff of SingHealth and CAG Singapore. His passion is applying smart technologies for rehabilitation in healthcare. In the course of training and developing projects, he has also worked with local elderly care organisations, nursing homes and hospitals to test and obtain feedback. Currently, he is involved in collaboration projects with hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
