Dr Ng Wei Ming

Consultant, Emergency Medicine,

Dr Ng Wei Ming is a Consultant at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), as well as a Consultant for Unit of Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (UPEC), Ministry of Health (MOH).

He received his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and postgraduate degrees in Emergency Medicine from Royal College of Emergency Medicine (United Kingdom) and National University of Singapore (NUS).

Dr Ng has a wide area of interest, ranging from pre-hospital emergency medicine, quality and safety in healthcare, to medical education, as well as clinical research. He is actively involved in teaching of medical professionals (medical students to specialist trainees), nurses, pharmacists, and paramedics. He received National Healthcare Group teaching awards for his contributions in medical education.

Dr Ng has experience in managing medical and traumatic resuscitation cases, and had performed rare resuscitative procedures such as perimortem caesarean section that resulted in infant survival. He also contributed to the development of myResponder application which responds to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) and fire cases in his community.
