Assoc Prof Ong Hwee Kuan
Senior Principal Physiotherapist, Department of Institute of Physiotherapy, Singapore General Hospital (SGH)
Having completed her Master of Health Professions Education with Maastricht University, Assof Prof Ong Hwee Kuan is now a Senior Principal Physiotherapist in Singapore General Hospital (SGH), and is concurrently holding a joint faculty position at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), teaching undergraduate allied health students.
With a strong belief in education and an extensive interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP) experience, Assoc Prof Ong has been involved in many education initiatives such as developing an interactive online module titled “Interprofessional Collaborative Practice in General Surgical Setting” for medical students posted to surgical wards as well as publishing research works on using simulation and interprofessional education to teach infection prevention during resuscitation etc. She has also facilitated multiple IPCP workshops and conference presentations in her capacity as a core member of the SingHealth Interprofessional Collaboration Practice Taskforce.
