Dr Ralf Krage

Dr Ralf Krage is Associate Professor of Anaesthesia and Consultant Anaesthesiologist at MBRU, Dubai, UAE. He is also the Director of the KHMSC Simulation Centre in Dubai. From 2007 to 2019, he was a Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Residency programme director at the VU University Medical Centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Between 2019 and 2021, he served as Head of Department of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine in Neuburg, Germany. His special interests are focused on human factor issues and airway management training. Since the early 2000s, he has been promoting simulation-based learning, serving as director of two major simulation centres in Germany and the Netherlands. He was also the past President of Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM).
