Innovating Hospital Care for the Future

In the dynamic landscape of healthcare, it is crucial to proactively address the evolving needs of ecosystems by fostering meaningful disruption within the existing system. This symposium brings together stakeholders from MOHT and SingHealth to emphasize the significance of partnership while navigating the healthcare innovation lifecycle. The goal is to identify and articulate areas for development and implementation activities, as well as facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to successfully effect impactful care solutions.

The mounting pressures on our healthcare capacities necessitate the exploration of innovative care models that can alleviate burdens and optimize resource allocation. SingHealth has embarked on three key projects in partnership with MOHT with the aim of achieving these goals. Firstly, the One Care Plan, launched earlier this year, aims to provide comprehensive and shared care to patients. Secondly, the Mobile Inpatient Care at Home (MIC@Home) project has advanced to the implementation scaling-up phase, offering hospital-level care in the comfort of patients' homes. Lastly, the Community Hospital of the Future (CHoF) project is currently in the early scoping phase, redefining the future roles of community hospitals that align with the changing needs of the population we serve.

By highlighting these initiatives and exploring the importance of navigating the healthcare innovation cycle, this symposium aims to catalyse meaningful discussions, celebrate collaborations, and inspire further advancements in the pursuit of a more effective, efficient, and patient-centric healthcare system.
