Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Singapore and the region. In this symposium, we will revisit the learnings from local population based studies that have helped us better understand disease patterns in our unique multi-ethnic population, discuss how findings from such research have influenced change in health policies, consider the future challenges of embracing and implementing artificial intelligence in the management of our CVD patients, and discuss some of the exciting new efforts aimed at synergizing cardiovascular research and technology capabilities across Singapore.
