Youth and Adolescent Mental Health Symposium
Research and Innovation in Community Adolescent Mental Health

Mental health conditions account for the highest disease burden amongst adolescents in Singapore which is exacerbated by the COVID pandemic and the incidence of mental health conditions in youths and adolescents is still on the increasing trend. These youths may present in various stages of mental health distress such as suicidal ideations, anxiety, depressive or somatic symptoms.

There is an urgent need to address the gap of identifying this group of vulnerable adolescents and providing timely mental health interventions that are easily scalable in the community.
