Assoc Prof Dan Yock Young

Assoc Prof Dan Yock Young obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 1994 He is a gastro/hepatologist having obtaining his MRCP(UK) and MMed (Int Med) in 2000 and Fellow of Academy of Medicine (Gastroenterology) in 2003.

He is a clinician scientist and his research interests include liver progenitor cells, their mechanistic roles and potential for therapeutic applications in liver failure, liver cancer and NAFLD

He is currently Senior Consultant at National University Hospital and serves as Deputy Director General (Health Services Group) at Ministry of Health. He oversees healthcare services organisation and care model transformation.
