Assoc Prof Chua is an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology and holds a concurrent appointment as the Director of CoLEAD, the University's teaching and learning unit. In this role, he actively collaborates with colleagues to enhance the university’s applied learning pedagogy. Assoc Prof Chua was also the founding Programme Director of the SIT Diagnostic Radiography and Radiation Therapy programmes, where he focused on graduating industry-ready practitioners through intensive industry engagement and strong curriculum design. Assoc Prof Chua is also interested in healthcare data analytics, in particular artificial intelligence (AI) for radiography, where he actively contributes towards teaching of research methods and biostatistics, as well as applied research in AI for radiography.
