Mr Eric Sng is the Assistant Director of ResiL!ence, SHINE Children and Youth Services’ mental health service. A social worker by training, he has served in social services coming 15 years and have a range of experiences in youth development, diversionary, outreach and mental health work. He is passionate about pioneering new programmes or approaches to close service gaps and meet needs more effectively. His recent endeavours include leading teams to enhance mental health service delivery via technology, piloting a peer supporting programme to serve youths at-risk of or engaging in non-suicidal self injury (NSSI), and an animal assisted care programme to improve help seeking tendencies and therapeutic alliance. He also enjoys partnering with various stakeholders to co-create initiatives and optimize each other’s strengths to promote the best interests of youths in need.
