Assoc Prof Shefaly Shorey

Assoc Prof Shefaly Shorey, is an Associate Professor with tenure at Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. Her research focuses on enhancing family health by developing psychosocial interventions to support vulnerable populations and inform practice and policy. Assoc Prof Shorey is an award-winning researcher and educator who has incorporated varied educational theories, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence in her teaching and she has received various awards at International and National platforms for her academic and research excellence. She has received the President Nurse Award 2021, the highest accolade for nurses in Singapore. Assoc Prof Shorey represents Singapore for the Southeast and East Asian Nursing Education and Research Network (SEANERN) and the Global Working Group (GWG) on Salutogenesis. Assoc Prof Shorey Shorey has published more than 180 papers in peer-reviewed international high-impact factor journals, written two books and more than 10 book chapters, and served on the editorial boards of various renowned journals. Her research program is funded by competitive grants and for her research work, she serves on the expert panel of ministries to inform care and practice for varied populations.
