Assoc Prof Lim is a Senior Consultant Emergency Physician and formerly Chief of the A&E Department at Changi General Hospital. Currently, he is the President of the Society for Emergency Medicine in Singapore (SEMS) and also the Vice-Chairman (Clinical Services) of SingHealth Emergency Medicine Academic Clinical Programme. Assoc Prof Lim serves as a Board Member and Assistant Secretary of the Asian Society for Emergency Medicine. He is also Singapore’s country representative at the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM). As Programme Director for GPFirst at CGH, Assoc Prof Lim was awarded the National Clinical Excellence Team Award in 2021. He completed his Fellowship in Disaster Medicine at the University of California Irvine in United States and is an International Editorial Board member of the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine. He volunteers as a Board Member at the Singapore Anglican Community Services which is an Institution of a Public Character. For his volunteerism and contributions to healthcare he received the Healthcare Humanity Award in 2012.
