Medical Education Research

To promote Research in Medical Education, Drs Evangeline Lim, Raymond Goy and May Mok set up the QR101 programme.

The programme started in May 2019 with a 2-day introductory Qualitative Research course, co-hosted by experts from HOMER (Health Outcomes and Medical Education Research) in NHG (National Health Group) and a SingHealth AM.EI Qualitative Research expert. During the course, the participants were divided into groups and each group was expected to start a QR project. After the course, the participants met bimonthly to discuss the progress of their QR project with input from invited QR experts from HOMER.

We aim to have another Qualitative Research course in July 2020 targeted at individuals who have no formal training in qualitative research. If you are interested, please look out for more information in your e-mail. For those who wish to further their knowledge and training in qualitative research, do consider attending the workshop hosted by the Atelier Wilson Centre@HOMER from NHG entitled “Clarifying Methodologies for Health Professions Education Research: Applications in Your Workplace” (see below for more information).

Meanwhile, if you are interested in doing Qualitative Research in medical education or health service, feel free to contact Drs Evangeline Lim, Raymond Goy or May Mok and we will point you in the right direction.
