6th Pathology ACP Research Day

Our 6th Research Day was held on Tuesday, 29 October 2019. It was a day where residents, trainees, medical students/undergraduates and our allied health professionals showcased their research findings locally to colleagues in the pathology community through posters and platform presentations at Academia, SGH. A record number of 59 abstracts was submitted this year, with diverse topics on the different pathology disciplines.

We were honoured to have Dr John R. Goldblum, Chair, Department of Anatomic Pathology, Cleveland Clinic, USA, deliver the keynote lecture. His keynote lecture titled: “Well-differentiated lipomatous tumours – the trouble with fat” was insightful and relevant.

A/Prof Matthias Maiwald (KK Woman’s and Children’s Hospital), A/Prof Alvin Lim (Singapore General Hospital) and Dr Derrick Lian (National University Hospital) kindly served as our judges for the poster and platform presentations.

With participants presenting their research findings zealously, it was an opportunity for members of the pathology community to interact with one another, resulting in a truly memorable event!
