Submission Themes

The submission themes are based on the five strategic threads of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Education Masterplan (FY2021 - FY2025).

Point of View (POV)
(Narrative, Education Stories)

Point of View aims to share your narrative of overcoming an education-related challenge. These presentations usually share with audience the problem you had encountered, the solutions, and the lessons you had learnt. Essentially, these presentations are reflections that you would like to share with others in relation to teaching and student learning.
15 min Presentation + 5 min Q&A • Problem - Describe the problem you have encountered
• Solution - What solution or interventions have you taken to overcome the problem
• Take home message - Describe the take home message
Education Research
(IMRaD format)

Submit for:
• Oral only
• Poster only
• Oral and Poster
Oral Presentation: 15 min Presentation + 5 min Q&A

Poster Presentation: Displayed at Conference
• Purpose - Describe the purpose of the study
• Methods - Describe the methods of data collection, analysis and details of the study population
• Results - Summarize and discuss the results obtained
• Conclusion - Describe the conclusion of your research study
General Guidelines

 

General Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Use of standard abbreviations is desirable.
  • Place special or unusual abbreviations in brackets after the full word the first time it appears.
  • Details of authors should be filled in according to descending order of contribution (from most to least).
  • Use numerals to indicate numbers, except to begin sentences.
  • The use of tables, graphs and other types of images is NOT permitted.
  • Authors must ensure that the entry matches category in which it is submitted. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted.
  • Use AMA Style (11th Ed) for citations.
  • It is permissible to submit an abstract which has been or will be submitted in another conference as there is no proceeding for this conference.
  • Please ensure the submitted abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted, and no proof reading will be undertaken.

 

Notification of Acceptance

  • All authors are required to confirm their attendance as a PAID/REGISTERED delegate upon abstract acceptance.
  • Main Author will be notified via email by 20 April 2026 regarding the acceptance of abstracts at which time authors will be required to register for the conference.
  • Authors are required to register for the conference by 16 May 2026.

Symposium
(90 mins)
Symposiums are groups of related presentations by 3-5 speakers moderated by the symposium chair. The topic can range from education development, education research, education evaluation to education stories.

 

What we are looking for

  • Clear programme description
  • Feasibility of programme
  • Relevancy of topics to healthcare and conference participants
  • Applicability of proposal to other fields and disciplines
  • Opportunities for participants to interact and practise their skills (Applicable to workshops only)

General Guidelines

All proposals submitted must conform to the following guidelines:

  • Proposals must be submitted in English.
  • Proposals must be complete at time of submission.
  • Incomplete proposals will not be considered.
  • Proposals and presentations that appear to be promotional in nature will not be accepted.

Important note:

  1. All facilitators & presenters (including co-presenters & co-facilitators) must confirm their attendance as a PAID/REGISTERED delegate upon proposal acceptance. Registration fees will be forfeited in the event the presenter withdraws from the programme after the proposal has been accepted and registration has been made. 
  2. Facilitators & presenters are required to arrange your own materials (handouts, software, etc.) and bear costs for any stated materials needed for proposed activities.

Steps for submission through the portal:
1.  Register for a new account at the login page.
2. Verify your account through email.
3. Log in to the portal to submit your abstract and/ or proposals.
