This workshop aims to bridge the expertise of nursing and biomedical engineering by focusing on the integration of simulation in healthcare education. The central objective is to explore how simulation-based methods can effectively facilitate the transference of skills from learning environments to clinical practice. By examining both the theoretical foundations and practical implementation of simulation, the workshop seeks to provide participants with innovative strategies for enhancing skill development and evidencing transference in healthcare education.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the fundamental principles of simulation design, particularly in healthcare contexts
  2. Analyze the impact of collaborative, web-based tools on cognitive integration and knowledge transference.
  3. Apply technology-enabled concept mapping methods to facilitate and evidence the transfer of theoretical knowledge to practice.
  4. Design virtual simulation experiences aimed at improving practical skills and teamwork in clinical settings.
  5. Identify challenges and propose solutions for integrating technology into nursing education simulations.
