The Centre for Holistic Initiatives for Learning and Development (CHILD) was established at NUS in 2021. Our mission is to improve the emotional, social and cognitive outcomes for children in Singapore by accelerating the implementation of Early Child Development (ECD) research into policy and practice. This symposium will provide an overview of CHILD's main focus areas as follows:

(i) Evidence generation

(ii) Evidence synthesis

(iii) Design, selection, and contextualization of interventions

(iv) Implementation and evaluation

(v) Knowledge translation.

We will illustrate how CHILD translates ECD research into policy and practice, using examples of maternal mental health, screen use and eating behavior.
