Ocular Neuropathic Pain: Can We Get No Pain and All Gain?

Ocular neuropathic pain is a common condition and can result from ocular etiologies, such as dry eye or ocular surgery, as well as from systemic etiologies, such as fibromyalgia, diabetes, rheumatological diseases, sinus diseases or migraine. Conditions such as anxiety/depression or sleep disorder are also important co-morbidities. Hence, the management involves integrated care across various specialties and multidisciplinary collaboration.

In this symposium, subspecialty experts will provide their thoughts and updates on the diagnosis and management of neuropathic corneal pain. Case presentations and advances in evidence-based clinical practice will be discussed. The speakers will also provide an overview of the state-of-the-art research in this field.
