Restoring and improving health within local, national, and global communities is the test of our generation. Health inequities persist, fuelled by social and economic inequities, disparate access to preventive and therapeutic health care, and differential impacts of climate. The enormity and complexity of the challenge requires solutions that transcend disciplinary boundaries, scientific expertise, and health care settings, and transform evidence to impact. The presentation will highlight the challenge of the transformation, successful efforts to address the challenge, and key learnings of the science of population health.
