Dr Troy Puar is a currently working as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology at Changi General Hospital. His clinical and research interests are in secondary hypertension, and adrenal endocrinology. He previously received the NMRC NIG award to perform a multi-centre study using a novel non-invasive imaging, 11C-Metomidate PET-CT, to identify patients with a curable form of hypertension: Unilateral Primary Aldosteronism. He has since received the NMRC Transition Award in Mar 2022, to expand on this clinical study, which will be the largest Asian clinical trial of its kind.
