Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, often progressing silently until advanced stages. Traditional diagnostic and management approaches are limited in their ability to detect early-stage disease and predict long-term outcomes. Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing CKD care by enabling early screening, risk prediction, and personalized treatment strategies.

This plenary session will provide an overview of AI applications in CKD, including machine learning (ML) models for screening, disease progression prediction, and personalized management. It will also explore the role of large language models (LLMs) in enhancing patient care, improving communication, and supporting clinical decision-making. By integrating AI into CKD management, healthcare professionals can optimize resource utilization, enhance patient outcomes, and improve early intervention strategies.

Key challenges such as data quality, model interpretability, integration into clinical workflows, and regulatory considerations will also be discussed. This session aims to bridge AI advancements with real-world clinical practice, highlighting opportunities for AI-driven innovation in CKD care
