Date: 19 Sep 2025, Friday | Time: 1120 - 1205 | Track Type: Plenary Lecture | Venue: L1-S3, Level 1, Academia

In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, the ability to transform bold ideas into implementable solutions is a critical differentiator for healthcare organisations. This plenary session brings together leaders who have successfully navigated the complex journey from visionary concepts to scalable, real-world implementations that have redefined healthcare delivery.
This presentation introduces the technical foundations of large language models (LLMs) and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) for a clinical audience. It gives an overview of how LLMs operate – its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats when applied to clinical research and clinical care in liver diseases. It highlights ongoing issues related to accuracy, bias, privacy, and transparency in clinical applications. Finally, the presentation will discuss several emerging application areas and use-cases for GenAI technologies in both hepatology clinical research and clinical care.
