Control of organ size and cancer by the Hippo pathway

Abstract:
The Hippo pathway is a key regulator of organ size and is mutated in many human cancers. We are interested in defining how the Hippo pathway relays signals from the cell surface to the nucleus to regulate transcription and tissue growth. In addition, we investigate how the Hippo pathway can be targeted therapeutically in the context of cancer. To address these questions, we employ advanced imaging, genetics, genomics, and multiple model systems, including Drosophila and patient-derived tumours.
