Join Dr Danny Belkin and Dr Fang Xiaoqin as they discuss SERI/SNEC's model for spinoff creation, key learnings reached over the years, and how SCOUT is looking to bring the same goal-oriented and entrepreneurial spirit into play for the whole of SingHealth.
About the Speakers
Dr Danny Belkin is the Director of the SingHealth Technology Incubator (SCOUT). Dr Belkin has over 20 years of wide-ranging experience in the biomedical industry, having been part of the founding team of a stem cell therapy startup company as well as having held strategic marketing and special projects management roles at Abbott Labs, before joining SERI and SingHealth.
Dr Fang Xiaoqin is the Director of the Technology Development and Commercialisation (TD&C) at Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI). She oversees SERI’s entire technology portfolio for late-stage development, technology incubation and industry collaborations. She has over 15 years of experience across medtech R&D, strategic marketing, technology transfer and commercialisation.
About the Facilitator Dr Lye Whye Kei is the Director of the SingHealth Intellectual Property Office (SHIP). He is an inventor has over 28 patents/patent applications. His technical experience includes work in the fields of nanoscale materials, micro-electromechanical systems, and biological nanosystems.
