This successful biennial symposium started in 2002 and has attracted a broad audience of more than 400 participants of clinicians, scientists and allied health professionals each, throughout its seven successful meetings. At our 9th Symposium, we will focus on the causes, diagnosis/management of Parkinson disease and movement disorders. The Symposium will be divided into two segments namely, a Satellite Symposium as well as a Main Symposium with several plenaries, parallel sessions/workshops and video presentations. We have invited the following renowned international experts as members of our faculty: Daniela BERG, Germany; Francisco CARDOSO, Brazil; Taku HATANO, Japan; LIN Chin-Hsien, Taiwan, Neil MAHANT, Australia; Elena MORO, France; Chandrasekhara Pillai PADMAKUMAR, Australia and Lynn ROCHESTER, UK. They, together with other regional and local experts, will enable us to put together an academically rich and enjoyable programme for participants from Singapore and the region. This Symposium will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the latest research and perspectives, to hear from renowned speakers, and to be exposed to the most-up-to-date information in the field of Parkinson disease and movement disorders. We welcome all medical professionals; doctors, researchers, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, other allied health professionals as well as trainees from Singapore and the region to attend this virtual Symposium.
