Epitranscriptomic Regulation in the Mammalian Nervous System

Seminars

Overview

You are invited to the upcoming seminar by Prof Hongjun Song, Perelman Professor of Neuroscience, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Title: Epitranscriptomic regulation in the mammalian nervous system

Abstract:
The study of more than 170 chemically distinct types of RNA modifications, or epitranscriptomics, has attracted significant interest because of its critical involvement in tuning every aspect of RNA biology, regulating various biological processes, and profound successes in clinical applications for COVID19 mRNA vaccines. I will present examples addressing roles and mechanisms of epitranscriptomic regulation in the mammalian nervous system using animal and human brain organoid models.
