Singapore, 13 February 2025 – A total of 4,752 awards were presented to healthcare professionals from 45 public and private healthcare institutions and organisations from the community care sector at the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards (SHQSA) 2025 today.
President Tharman Shanmugaratnam graced the event as the Guest of Honour. 14 individuals received the Superstar Awards, under the 'Exemplar Leader' and 'Exemplar Professional' categories. They are presented to the most dedicated and passionate Clinician, Nursing, Allied Health and Pharmacy, Administration and Ancillary staff, who have gone the extra mile in making a difference to the lives of patients, their colleagues, and the larger community.
Four teams were also recognised for their excellence in driving initiatives that have made outstanding improvements to patient safety, patient experience, and patient outcomes under the 'Clinical Practice Improvement' or 'Patient Experience Improvement' categories in the Best Team Award. The Superstar Award and Best Team Award are the pinnacle award categories of SHQSA.
There are five award categories in total:
Winners of the awards were chosen based on heartfelt testimonials from patients and colleagues, as well as the number of compliments and service awards recipients have received in improving service quality and delivering exceptional patient care. The list of winners can be found in the Annex.
Now in its 16th edition, the SHQSA is organised by SingHealth and is Singapore's first dedicated platform to honour exceptional healthcare professionals who have delivered quality care and service to patients. Over the years, the number of participating partners has steadily grown, with this year's award seeing nominations from organisations like Kidney Dialysis Foundation for the very first time. These efforts reflect the shared commitment by partners to celebrate staff who consistently pursue excellence and contribute to uplifting the healthcare landscape for all in Singapore.
