23 March 2021 - Dr Bharathi Balasundaram, Senior Consultant, Department of Psychological Medicine, CGH, shared on the most common causes of delirium. She also highlighted about the importance of looking out for this sudden change in one’s mental state.
Li Fuyin, Senior Nurse Clinician (Advanced Practice Nurse) spoke about the validated four-item delirium assessment tool that enables quick administration to patients with delirium at the bedside. She also dished out practical tips that family members and caregivers can take note of, to aid patients on their recovery journey, For instance, to reduce confusion, we remind them on the time, day and place.
