Associate Professor Lee Lui Shiong, Head and Senior Consultant, and Dr Thomas Chan, Consultant, from the Department of Urology at SKH, shared about prostate and testicular cancers respectively, highlighting men’s reluctance to seek medical attention as an issue. Sharing that prostate cancer has good treatment options even in the later stages, Dr Lee encouraged men to seek prompt medical attention when symptoms arise. Regarding testicular cancer, Dr Chan mentioned that while it is a relatively rare condition in general, it typically affects younger men and is the second most common cancer in men under the age of 30. He also clarified common misconceptions on testicular cancer and stressed the importance of regular self-examination.
