Through a generous donation made in loving memory of Chua Hock Tat and Lee Pui King, ‘The Recharge Hub’ in NHCS Ward 47B has been transformed into a welcoming rest haven for our hardworking healthcare team. This renovation is supported by the NHCS Staff Wellness Programme, which aims to create a more nurturing and supportive workplace where staff can thrive, rest and recharge.
What was once a converted storeroom during the COVID-19 pandemic has been thoughtfully redesigned into a well-equipped and eco-friendly rest area. The upgraded space features dedicated dining and storage facilities, complete with new amenities and sustainable design elements, such as modular and movable furniture and energy-efficient blackout blinds—making it a more conducive environment for staff to unwind and recharge. For the healthcare staff working tirelessly in this high-volume inpatient ward, these improvements have made a significant difference in their daily work life.
