Dr Ching Siok Siong is a consultant with the Department of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). After graduating with his basic medical degree at National University in Ireland in 1997, he embarked on his surgical training in Wales, United Kingdom. He went on to obtain an MD in surgery after completing his research work on different types of ultrasonic scalpels in laparoscopic surgery in Leeds, United Kingdom.
Upon returning to Singapore in 2009, Dr Ching completed his advanced specialty training at CGH. He then obtained fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was awarded his specialist accreditation by the Singapore Medical Council in 2016. His current interests include minimally invasive surgical treatment of upper gastrointestinal conditions, obesity and metabolic conditions.
