Profile

Dr Vincent Tay is a Consultant with the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Service in the Department of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He graduated from the Duke-NUS Medical School and completed his specialist training in Singapore. Dr Tay became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2013, attained his Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2015, completed his fellowship at Akademikliniken (Sweden) in 2019 and was inducted into the Academy of Medicine Singapore as a Fellow in 2020.

Before medical practice, Dr Tay pursued pharmaceutical sciences on an undergraduate Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA) scholarship and served as a defence scientist. During his specialist training, he received the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) Clinician-Scientist New Investigator Grant Award in 2016, the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award in 2017, as well as the Ministry of Health (MOH) Healthcare Research Scholarship and Master of Clinical Investigation (MCI) in 2019.

Dr Tay has experience in the private sector for aesthetic surgery, and completed various observer-ships in China, South Korea and Europe. He continues to pursue research in plastic surgery and provides consultancy to the biopharmaceutical industry as he believes that research and innovation drive better patient care.
