Clin Asst Prof Vincent Tay is a Consultant with the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Service in the Department of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). His clinical and research interests bridge reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, regenerative medicine, and neuroscience. A pioneer graduate of Duke-NUS Medical School, Dr Tay completed his specialist training in Singapore and advanced fellowship at Akademikliniken, Sweden. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).
Before medicine, Dr Tay was awarded a defence science scholarship and trained in pharmacology, pharmaceutics and neuroscience, serving as a defence scientist. His research has garnered recognition, such as the National Medical Research Council Clinician-Scientist New Investigator Grant, the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award, and the Ministry of Health Healthcare Research Scholarship.
Beyond public service, Dr Tay has private sector experience in aesthetic surgery and completed observerships across Asia and Europe. He continues to explore the role of plastic surgery techniques in addressing neurological conditions and provides consultancy to biotech and medtech companies, supporting innovation from bench to bedside. He remains dedicated to advancing patient care through research, clinical excellence, and industry collaboration.
