SingHealth's Health Services Research Centre (HSRC) nurtures a team of data scientists familiar with clinical, operational and research databases, systems and processes within SingHealth institutions to provide a data science platform.We respond to the needs and requirements of clinicians, researchers and administrators. We leverage a variety of tools and techniques from health economics, decision science, operations research, statistical science, expert systems, machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, systems modelling and implementation science. To support this, we offer training programmes, systems, governance policies and processes for the pursuit of data science to drive continuous improvements to the performance of health services. Sean Lam is Head of Data Science at Health Services Research Centre (HSRC) and also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. Sean is an experienced data scientist, practitioner and academic with a PhD in Decision Science and Operations Research from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
