MTO is open to work with companies, organisations, technology partners and commercial partners looking for clinical opinions on a device, or to co-develop and/or pilot a solution to an unmet clinical need, or seeking new business opportunities in a clinical domain.
Key objectives would be for MTO to be:•A coordinating body liaising with national funding agencies•A source of well-validated unmet clinical needs with commercial viability•A source and receiver of projects and research collaboration opportunities with other institutions
The main modes of engagement are as below:
1) ConsultancyCompany A seeks clinical opinion on existing device.•MTO will help link up Company A with qualified and appropriate KOL
2) Collaboration & Fee-for-ServicePhase I: Company A is looking for innovation opportunities in a specific department.•MTO will immerse, discover and validate the clinical needs in department•MTO's trained clinical engineers immerse, discover and validate the clinical needs in the department and provide you with a report
Phase II: Company A collaborates with clinicians to develop solutions to needs found in Phase I.•Project collaboration: Details to be discussed between Company A and clinicians•MTO facilitates a project collaboration with details to be discussed between you and the clinician(s)
3) Coordinating UnitCompany A wants to perform an animal/clinical trial investigation.•MTO: Main coordinator (KOL link-up, administrative work)•MTO links you to an interested clinician and facilitates the internal administrative work with other internal departments
4) Testbedding and Piloting ProductsFor a company or organisation that wants to testbed or pilot its product(s) in a healthcare environment:•MTO identifies interested clinicians and works with you to design a pilot study to assess how your product would fit into the clinical workflow•MTO provides you a report generated by our trained clinical engineers•MTO facilitates the internal administrative work with other internal departments
