MTO assists clinicians of all levels who are keen to be involved in translational medtech development projects or have identified a specific unmet clinical need. MTO provides training in the process of medtech innovation based on the Biodesign process. MTO also helps bring in resources for early-stage prototyping and assists eligible clinicians and students to obtain relevant grants to facilitate their work as well as to apply for innovation awards. Key objectives include:
•Training clinician innovators from SingHealth and Duke-NUS together with AMRI•Providing training services to external parties in hospital-based innovation
The SingHealth-Duke NUS Academic Medical Centre has a significant community of clinician innovators with advanced medtech innovation training.
