Following the resounding success of the S3 Conference in 2017 and 2019, the
SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS),
Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM) and
The Gathering of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists (SimGHOSTS) are excited to announce the return of Asia’s leading healthcare simulation conference from
19 to 21 October 2022.
Themed “Transforming the Healthcare Simulation Spectrum: Now, Next and Beyond", the S3 Conference in 2022 will showcase the latest healthcare simulation technological advances and their potential to enhance the delivery of patient care. This year’s theme is also relevant and timely, with COVID-19 accelerating healthcare digital transformation through simulation and playing a critical role in training healthcare professionals during this pandemic. Due to its dynamism and versatility, simulation-based education and training has been pivotal in equipping our healthcare professionals with the necessary skills in such unprecedented times, contributing immensely towards transformative learning and allowing for deliberate practice in a safe environment.
At S3 Conference 2022, you can look forward to learning from internationally renowned experts in healthcare simulation on a broad spectrum of topics dedicated to serious games, virtual, augmented and mixed reality applications, as well as explore new modalities such as gamification. Across the 2.5 days Main Conference, we hope to reconnect the healthcare simulation community to ignite ideas and foster stronger collaborations to transform existing training and learning practices for better patient care. The Conference also features a line-up of Pre-Conference Workshops that will allow you to gain hands-on simulation-focused skills training. There is so much more to share at S3 2022, with best practices to take home
now, plan our
next educational interventions, as well as stimulate ideas to push
beyond the boundaries of healthcare simulation for the future.
We look forward to welcoming you to this year's S3 Conference. Together, let's continue to innovate and share our knowledge in transforming the healthcare simulation spectrum to propel patient care standards to greater heights!

The S3 Conference 2022 is the third time that Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM) is partnering with SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Medical Simulation (SIMS) and The Gathering of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists (SimGHOSTS) to deliver Asia’s leading healthcare simulation conference at Academia, Singapore!
After close to a three-year COVID-induced hiatus, it is without a doubt that the Conference is set to return with a greater significance this year as we reunite the healthcare simulation community to share our experiences and best practices in adapting to the modalities and delivery of healthcare simulation in the ‘new normal’. Themed “Transforming the Healthcare Simulation Spectrum: Now, Next and Beyond”, this year’s Conference is clearly oriented towards the future developments of healthcare simulation brought on by the rapid technological advances during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has provided us with an impetus for change, cementing the need for simulation to compensate for and supplement existing practices in healthcare delivery.
The S3 Conference 2022 will have a strong programme line-up that's founded on the collective experience of various healthcare simuation experts around the world, providing delegates with an opportunity to engage with as well as inject fresh ideas to expand their knowledge and perspectives on simulation practice.
If you are keen to catch a glimpse into the future of healthcare simulation, I warmly welcome you and your team to join us at the S3 Conference 2022 to find out!

Once again, the S3 Conference 2022 is bringing simulation experts from around the world together to share on the current, future and best practices in healthcare simulation. A tripartite partnership among three significant players – SimGHOSTS, SESAM and SIMS – in the simulation world, the Conference is set to provide delegates with a broad and diverse perspective on healthcare simulation.
last two years, we have seen an increasingly aggressive approach in the innovative efforts in the simulation space. As technology continues to advance and accelerate, we often find new ways to deploy simulation to optimise teaching and training of modalities as well as delivery of healthcare systems to improve patient care standards. The potential and benefits of simulation in clinical practice and healthcare delivery have also grown exponentially now more than ever; which is why this year’s theme – “Transforming the Healthcare Simulation Spectrum: Now, Next and Beyond” really stood out for me as it encapsulates the space that simulation occupies in the health professions education arena.
I am most excited about the diverse knowledge, expertise and experience that simulation experts around the world are going to bring to the table at this year’s Conference. Delegates can look forward to gaining invaluable insights, networking opportunities and collaborating with some of the best healthcare simulation professionals from Asia and beyond. Be prepared to dig deep and find out what is possible in the future of simulation across the healthcare professions spectrum at the S3 Conference 2022 with us.
