Dr Diana Tan Yuen Lan

Director (Clinical), SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute for Patient Safety & Quality


Dr Diana Tan obtained her Medical Degree (MBBS) in 1992 from the National University of Singapore. Trained in Diagnostic Radiology, she obtained her FRCR (UK) in 1999. She became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) in 2002. She is a Fellow of the College of Radiologists, Singapore and a Member of the Singapore Radiological Society.

Dr Tan was appointed a Consultant in Radiology in May 2004. Subsequently, she made a switch to hospital administration. Currently working in Changi General Hospital (CGH), Dr Tan was appointed Director of Clinical Services in July 2008 and has held this position to date. She was appointed Assistant Chairman Medical Board (Clinical Quality) in June 2019.

In CGH, she oversees the following areas: Medical Affairs, Clinical Quality, Clinical Planning & Development, Maintenance of Competency, and Standards & Policies. Together with her team, Dr Tan helps the hospital with the management of clinical incidents, clinical complaints, medico-legal cases and Serious Reportable Events.

She has worked with her team to share the lessons from the cases that they have managed, with the hospital and various individual departments. From 01 November 2020, Dr Tan was appointed Director (Clinical), SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.
