Dr Sameera Senanayake was a health economist at Queensland University of Technology before joining Duke-NUS in June 2023. He holds a PhD in Health Economics from Queensland University of Technology, an MD in Community Medicine, and a MBBS from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. With a clinical and public health background, Sameera has expertise in conducting health service evaluations, where he has developed decision-analytic models to solve complex health care problems to improve the efficiency of the health system. He has extensive experience in economic evaluations, choice modelling and predictive analytics. He has worked on various projects across various areas, including cardiovascular disease, renal care, primary healthcare, low-value care, and more.
