A/Prof Andrew Ong is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Singapore General Hospital. He is currently the Programme Director of the SingHealth Gastroenterology Residency Programme.
 
His areas of interest include faculty development, mentoring, and competency-based medical education assessments.
 
He started the SingHealth Medical Educators Community of Practice (MEDUCATORS) and the “Guiding New faculty Onwards as Medical Educators” (GNOME) project in his previous role as Deputy Director, Faculty Development, SingHealth Medicine Academic Clinical Programme. He also currently serves as the EPA Faculty Development Lead in Professional Training & Assessment Standards (PTAS) Division, Ministry of Health, Singapore.
