Sook Mei, a graduate from NUS with a B. Sc in Pharmacy and an MBA from Nanyang Business School, is a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP). As the Director of the SingHealth Group Office of Patient Experience (OPE) and, concurrently, the Director of the Office of Patient Experience at Changi General Hospital (CGH), Sook Mei spearheads strategic initiatives to build and enhance patient experience. In 2016, she was a key player in setting up the SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network (SPAN). Her passion and commitment are evident as she ensures that patients' voices are incorporated in the strategic objectives of SingHealth and CGH, working to educate healthcare teams to work with patients and caregivers to co-design patient-centric care.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Sook Mei contributes to the community as a member of the Ethics Review Board at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and volunteers with Ambulance Wish Singapore (AWS), fulfilling last wishes of individuals with life-limiting conditions. Recognised for her contributions, she was appointed as a Council Member of the Agency for Care Effectiveness (ACE), Singapore in October 2022.
