Mr Mohan D Pillay

SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network (SPAN),
SingHealth, Singapore
Mohan D Pillay is a dedicated Member of the SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network (SPAN), contributing since 2019 to various projects aimed at enhancing patient care. His journey in healthcare includes extensive caregiver roles, supporting loved ones at Specialist Outpatient Clinics and providing primary care for his son after a traumatic accident, and for his mother battling advanced Dementia. Familiar with healthcare procedures, he is a recurrent patient himself at SGH Endoscopy Centre.
As a Faculty Member for SPAN Training Programmes like Patient Advocate Communication Training (SPAN-PACTTM) and Creating the Best Patient Experience (SPAN-BPeXTM), Mohan shares insights to foster patient-centric approaches among healthcare professionals.
Beyond SPAN, he collaborates with the Agency for Care Effectiveness, Ministry of Health, and co-leads initiatives at SGH Department of Emergency Medicine, striving to elevate patient experience standards.
Mohan's passion for healthcare improvement extends to facility design and quality improvement projects, leveraging his background in Information Technology. His ability to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions makes him a valuable asset to any healthcare endeavour.
