Dr Tharmmambal is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Internal Medicine. She is also the appointed Department QI Champion in the Clinical Performance Improvement (CPI) Committee since Jan 2016. Dr Tharmmambal actively participates in the CPI Committee by sharing her ideas and experience from her various QI projects, and currently helms the People Development Subgroup which aims to develop more talents in QI throughout the departments in the Division of Medicine. She has been involved in numerous QI projects over the years, both as a leader and as a coach, demonstrating her strong commitment to improving the quality of patient care and inculcating a strong QI culture. 

Dr Tharmmambal was instrumental in the implementation of a QI roadmap in her department to improve QI participation of specialists, and to align projects and stakeholders to achieve the department’s goals. She has been a QI coach since 2019 and has been actively contributing to QI culture in SGH, participating in various platform.
