Dr Murugam Vengadasalam
Consultant, Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore 

Dr Venga is a Consultant at the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care, National Cancer Centre Singapore and Assisi Hospice. He graduated from St George’s, University of London and returned to work in Singapore in 2008. He completed his internal medicine residency at NUH and MRCP (UK) in 2014 and palliative medicine advanced specialist training in 2018. He has a keen interest in education and training within Palliative Medicine.

He is an avid street photographer who has been making images for the best part of the last decade. His images have been featured online by Street Photography International, Street Photo Asia, Leica Fotographie International, Leica Store Singapore, Lensculture, The Candid Frame and National Geographic. He also had works exhibited locally, including at the “Wonder Through Your Eyes” exhibition by Gardens by the Bay.

With the aid of his images, Dr Venga hopes to share with the audience how his passion for palliative medicine and street photography - two seemingly disparate entities - intersect and even influence each other.
