Mr Andy Sim
Master Medical Social Worker, Medical Social Services, SGH

Mr Andy is a Master Medical Social Worker (Clinical Educator) with the Department of Medical Social Services in Singapore General Hospital (SGH).  He is the Education Co-Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Supportive and Palliative Care Centre (SDSPCC) and Executive Committee Member of SingHealth Centre for Person-Centred Care (CPCC).  Andy is also appointed the Lead Education Associate at both the SingHealth Duke-NUS Medicine ACP, and the Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC), a Non-Physician Faculty Member of the SingHealth Renal Medicine Residency Programme, as well as the Lead Faculty for ESTHER Network Singapore at the SingHealth Duke-NUS IPSQ.  

Mr Andy holds a Master of Social Work degree from the New York University (NYU) and is a Fellow in Thanatology (FT) of the Association of Death Education and Counselling (ADEC).  He is actively involved in educating healthcare professionals in palliative care, grief and bereavement, healthcare communication, person-centred care, renal social work, and advance care planning.
