In this 4-week Clinical Skills Foundation Programme (CSFP), students are placed in a clinical setting where they can practise history taking and physical examination techniques under the supervision of their assigned core tutors. During this posting, the students will be rotated to Surgery (2 weeks) and Medicine (another 2 weeks).
The Year 3 Surgery Posting is a 10-week clinical posting where surgical conditions and their approaches are introduced to medical students. Students are being embedded in their surgical teams in a rotation basis whilst having tutorials and centralized teachings so as to build on their clinical skills, exposure and knowledge.
This 2-weeks rotation for ENT posting aims to expose students to Otolaryngology. Other than tutorials, students will be assigned to clinics where they can learn through seeing and examining patients in an actual clinical setting.
The Year 5 Surgery SIP and Revision Posting is an 8- weeks posting. Students will first go through a series of workshops in preparation of the subsequent 4-weeks SIP posting where they function as a junior House Officer (HO) in their respective surgical teams under the supervision of a consultant. They will then be attending revision tutorials and lectures in the remaining 3 weeks.
