UFT is a combination product consisting of 2 medicines: Tegafur and Uracil. It can be used for the treatment of certain cancers e.g. colorectal, gastric, liver, gallbladder or bile duct and pancreatic cancers.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
It is a capsule taken by mouth, at least one hour before or one hour after meals with a glass of water. Take the exact number of capsules as instructed by your doctor.
If you miss a dose of UFT, take it as soon as you remember. However if it is too near to your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual dosing time. Do not double the dose.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
Do not crush, chew or open the capsules.
