"Text Neck" is a term used to describe pain and stiffness in one's neck as a result of a prolonged sustained position of bending one's head over electronic devices. Dr Bernice Liu, Principal Physiotherapist, SKH, cautioned that such a condition is not exclusive to people who use the computer and/or mobile devices for long hours. It can occur in anyone whose body is not used to being in prolonged sustained positions while engaging in repetitive activities, including reading, sewing, writing, etc. She debunked the myths about "text neck" and shared that the real focus should be on overcoming a sedentary lifestyle and becoming more active in our daily lives.
