A/Prof Aaron Ang is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the Director of the NHG Institute of Humanistic Medicine (HuMe). With a career spanning leadership and educational roles— as Head of Department and Associate Program Director for the National Psychiatry Residency Program—he currently holds Adjunct Associate Professor positions at both NUS-YLL and LKC-NTU Schools of Medicine. Dr. Ang’s expertise lies in the Psychiatry of Old Age, Shared Decision Making (SDM), and complex mental capacity assessments. Being dually accredited in Psychiatry and Medicine, he is a staunch advocate for holistic, humanistic care, particularly for complex patients navigating the challenges of multiple chronic illnesses and the intricacies of the psychiatry-medicine interface.
